LISTEN TO YOUR BODY & FOLLOW YOUR HEART!

Listen to your body & follow your heart, two sayings that I have heard for years.   I want you to know that this is not always the truth.  I am happy to say that today I didn't do either!  I set my alarm for my normal 5 a.m. setting.   When the alarm went off, my body told me that I needed to go back to bed.  I did not listen.  I actually had trouble getting my legs into my exercise pants today.  Not sure if that was my body saying it didn't want to jog or my mind not functioning at that time in the morning.  It was not a pretty sight.  My heart & body were not into my jog at all this morning.  I even think my mind was against me.  It keep telling me the entire jog that it was not worth it and that my body was just not going to let me jog today.  Once again, I did not listen.  I did get my entire 3.5 mile jog in.  About 4 minutes slower than my normal time.  Even though I was slower I think I burned more calories because I wasn't just jogging, I was fighting with myself the entire way.  Maybe tomorrow will be a little easier.  If not, I'll still do it!!!

Today's Recipe: "Roasted Butternut Squash Medley"  Yummy and easy to make.  Great side dish.  208 calories.
