This weekend starts our camping season for the year. What a beautiful weekend it is supposed to be. Normally camping means, a lot of snacks, out to eat, desserts, relaxing around the pool reading a book. Funny how in years past I thought a leisurely walk around the campground, a slow ride once around the campground on my bike or jumping in the pool to cool off was a work out. I should add that if the campground was to big, then I would only bike or walk part of it. This year things are going to be different. I will bring my bike and each day will either to for a 10 mile bike ride, jogging 4 miles, or swim laps for an hour or so. The junk food will be very minimal and I will not be going out to eat as much. This morning I took advantage of the campgrounds equipment. I went for a 30 minute bike ride, I jogged for 40 minutes on their treadmill and then swam laps for 35 minutes in their awesome pool. Now I can sit down and enjoy the book I brought without and quilt. A couple things I did to help be out as far as the snack or junk food department goes:
First and most importantly I didn't make all those wonderful desserts. If I don't have them here, it's hard to eat them.
Secondly, instead of buying a big bag of Fritos or Cheetos I bought the snack size bag. Fritos 1 oz bag is 160 calories. Cheetos 1 1/4 once bag is 200 calories. Now if I choose to have these, it is all measured out for me. I only brought 1 bag of each, so I'm limited on how much I can have. I can't wait when I go home this time and step on the scales to discover that I actually lost weight while camping.
Today's Recipe: Breakfast Wrap Very filling and very versatile and only 158 calories.
Stats: 188 (52.2 pounds lost)
