I had a goal to ride my bike for 12 miles one day this past week. Trying to work my way up for a ride from Romeo to Richmond & back. That is around 28-30 miles. For some of you that may seem like nothing and for some of you that will seem like unobtainable. For me, it will take some work, but I am bond and determine to do it. I started out with the slow and easy approach. I was enjoying the beautiful scenery & small critters that I was along the bike path. I got about 6 miles out and realized even though I was not tired, I needed to head back. After about two more miles, my bike broke down. The back wheel would not go forward. This makes it real difficult to ride a bike. A friend came to my rescue and brought me & my sad broken bike home. The next day, I did not let a broken bike stop me. I borrowed my daughters bike and headed out again. I told my husband that I was going to make it to Richmond and that he would have to pick me up. Well I'm happy to report that I made the 15 mile trip with no problem. Well outside of a sore bottom. When I get my new bike I'm going to make the trip to Richmond and back. I'm actually excited about doing it. Another goal that I know I can obtain.
